Training on the theme of peer education and project sustainability has been provided for teachers from 02-07/03/2017 in Dangila town HaHu hotel training venue. The training was provided in two rounds. The first round has been conducted from 02-04/03/2017 in three training halls for three consecutive days. The second round training was held from 05-07/03/2017 in two training halls also for three days.

A one day familiarization work shop for regional, zonal and district target stakeholders of the Communication for Health project.

HDAMA has introduced SBCC project by taking two years working agreement with JSI Ethiopia to increase knowledge and healthy practices of individuals and communities, while supporting systems to improve quality, capacity and coordination of social and behavioral change communication (SBCC) in targeted districts of the Amhara Region on PMTCT, nutrition, and malaria, RMNCH/FP, TB and WASH.

John Snow, Inc (JSI) and HDAMA signed agreement for a new project called “Communication for Health Project” with a sub agreement number: 13621-G-2017-09 and a budget of 4,431,100 ETB. The project will last for 2 years and will be implemented in 3 zones: South Gondar zone (Dera, fogera and Anbabet woredas),  Awi zone (Ankesha, Banja Shikudad, Dangila, Fagita Lekoma, Guagusa Shikudad, Guangua, Jawi and Zigem woredas) and West Gojjam zone (Gonji Kolela woreda).

In recognition of the significant contribution made in improving the health and living conditions during the last 18 years and to strengthen continued commitment to intensify efforts for improving health and wellbeing , Health Development and Anti Malaria Association(HDAMA) has secured new office from the Government Houses Agency with support from the Office of the Prime Minster.
